National Party Finance Spokesperson, Bill English,has responded to a letter from Parents Choice indicating that while National would continue to discuss the issue at this stage they did not support it on the basis that under Income Splitting the benefits would not get to the right people. Parents' Choice '08 will continue to lobby a range of political parties, including National, to promote the value of parenting and to push for Income Splitting as a valuable addition in a progressive tax regime.
